Sandie Gibbon Obituary, Bleadon Players Co-Founder Has Died

Sandie Gibbon Obituary,  Death – We must break the news to each and every one of you, dear friends and family, that Sandie Gibbon has died away. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we do so. Sandie was a fantastic friend, a wonderful former chairwoman of the Bleadon Players, and, most significantly, Peter’s wife. She was also one of the original founders of the Bleadon Players.

There would be no Bleadon Players if Sandie were not a part of the group. Sandie’s vision of a theater company managed by and for the Village of Bleadon is one that will always stay with us because she was the one who initially conceived of it.

Not only did she create the group herself, but she also had the idea to have it run by the villagers.
Even when her illness prohibited her from taking center stage, Sandie remained on stage with us when she was able, and she attended rehearsals right up to the last few months of her life.

Sandie was a wonderful director, actress, dancer, and singer. She was also an accomplished teacher. Despite the fact that Sandie’s dementia took away a lot of her abilities, she never lost her contagious (and frequently dark) sense of humor, and we could always tell by her reactions whether or not we were doing well on stage. We are going to miss Sandie terribly, and as a group we are there to lend our support to Peter and the rest of Sandie’s family as they go through this trying time.
