Nathaniel David Rapuano Obituary, Nathaniel Rapuano Has Passed Away

Nathaniel David Rapuano Obituary, Death – Nathaniel David Rapuano died in a sad accident in his San Francisco home on June 6, 2023. He was 26 years old at the time. Nate was a young man full of energy, silliness, and a zest for life. He was just hilarious. There was no one more dedicated to “the bit”: he would take an absurd, incendiary stance while maintaining a sparkle in his eye that indicated he was joking. We’re quite sure his Republican days in high school lasted three years.

He made and produced countless satirical videos with his sisters as a child that were similar to SNL Digital Shorts. (They can still be found on their old YouTube channel, ImRidingACatTV.) He took a taxi to swim practice in high school and paid the driver entirely in quarters. He emailed us photos of himself in the cockpit of a Southwest airliner last year, after convincing the captain that it was his first trip.
He was also very intellectually curious. He never stopped learning, and when he became interested in something, he immersed himself in it. For pleasure, he learned every single international flag. He would draw a comprehensive and labeled map of Europe at the bottom of his paper if he finished an exam early. He spent two hours wandering through the woods in Alaska with his family, asking his mother about the origins of the financial catastrophe. He was 15. He’d learn random city plans and transit systems, the complete politics and history of LA gangs, or the detailed biography of his 42x great grandfather Rollo De Normandie (born 846 AD).
Nate learnt to ski when he was three, and it was one of his favorite things in the world. Nate and his sister Abby spent hours skiing SunDog in Park City, where he frequently stopped to exclaim with pure pleasure how great it was. When his father brought him to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, over Christmas break in college, they took delight in skiing only double blacks for four days. His sister Lily worked as an instructor in Deer Valley last season and nearly caught Nate in terms of talent. When they attempted to ski Chute 8 following an avalanche cannon, Nate had to offer tremendous support for Kate to match his bravery.
His emotional intelligence and empathy were exceptional. Even as a child, he would tell his mother, “I know just how you feel.” His pals claim that he always knew what they needed without them having to ask. He constantly expressed gratitude to his sisters for assisting him in becoming more understanding, and he repeatedly stated that growing up with three strong women offered him a significant advantage in life.
