Daniel Quinlan Obituary, Death – We are sorry to inform you that Retired Detective Daniel M. Quinlan passed away on June 9, 2023 after a brave and prolonged battle against cancer. His passing comes as a great loss to us all. We have all suffered a great loss at the news of his departure. Dan started his career in law enforcement by working as an officer for the United States Customs Service before moving on to join the Amherst Police Department in 1997. In March of 2022, he made the decision to hang up his boots.

He was a hard worker who conducted himself with dignity while serving both his local community and his country on a daily basis. He was someone who was dedicated to his work. Above all things, he was a good person and a wonderful friend, and many of his acquaintances are going to miss him very much because of these qualities. During this terribly difficult time, we want Dan’s family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers and that they are in our thoughts and prayers constantly.

The memorial ceremony that will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 3 to 8 pm will take place at the Amigone Funeral Home, which is located in Williamsville, New York at 5200 Sheridan Drive. The date and time of the event have not yet been determined.

On Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 9:30 am, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Church located at 5480 Main Street in Williamsville, New York.
