Dan Cooley Obituary, Death – DANIEL E. COOLEY passed away on July 29, 2022 in Olewein, Iowa. He was 71 years old and had previously lived in Daggett, Michigan. Elwood and Wilma (Johnson) Cooley welcomed their son Dan into the world on October 27, 1950 in the city of Duluth, Minnesota. For a number of years, Dan was the proprietor of a fabrication firm in Stephenson, Michigan that specialized in logging attachments. At that time, he was serving in the capacity of inspector for a number of natural gas firms.
As his children and now his grandchildren grew up, Dan took great pleasure in watching them participate in 4H activities. He was an honorable member of the Marine Corps. Veteran and a member of the American Legion. Draft horses, hunting, fishing, and driving were some of Dan’s favorite activities. In addition, he delighted in his daily routine of going to work and spending time with his family, particularly with his grandchildren.
Dan is survived by his mother: Wilma (Harold) Lundberg of Isanti, MN; 4 children: Nikki (Jeron) Tebo of Stephenson, MI, Eric (Shauna) Cooley of Daggett, MI, Kristine (Steve) Nowiski of Vassar, MI and Matt (Candie) Cooley of Kingsford, MI; 10 grandchildren; 1 brother: Tim (Shauna) Cooley of Belton, TX and 2 sisters: Mary Nyman of Eagan, MN and Robin Exsted of Becker, MN. Both Dan’s father, Elwood, and his brother, Scott, passed away before him. Dan was the youngest of the three.
